Favorite Nature Picture -
Heron Juvenile Birds
We photograph birds like the
Scops Owl
in zoos; birds like the
pelican at
the beach; birds like the
Red Shoulder
Hawk in parks and everywhere we go. This favorite,
Heron Juvenile
birds, was made on our fourth trip St. Augustine Alligator Farm,
Florida. The Alligator Farm has become a natural rookery for wild
heron, crane, wood stork, ibis, egret, roseate spoonbill. Some birds
build nests within two feet of the walkway. It is the closest we
have ever been to so many nesting birds of so many different varities at
one time. It took four trips to catch the baby birds at the right
stage of development.
